Description

A "whatever can go wrong just about does" comedy, starring Glenda Jackson and George Segal, he an American businessman living in London who meets her, an English woman, at his softball game, then they go off on trip together "away from London, in the sun, where the sheets are changed every day" for, as she calls it, "some good, healthy, uninvolved sex with someone who loves his wife and won't be a pain in the ass when it's over." Pantyhose viewing is very benign for most of the movie, many of the other women are seen wearing knee-length dresses and skirts with pantyhose, Glenda Jackson not giving any clue of what was to follow by what she wore up until "the scene" when they returned to their hotel, unable to, after an argument, get an early flight back. At 1h03', the funniest scene: Jackson, then Segal starts aggressively throwing things at each other in their hotel room, she's in a red dress with taupe pantyhose…her dress rises a couple of times when she kicks up, even further when she falls on the floor, with an excellent close-up at 1h03'29" with no shoes…she gets up, the fighting continues, George Segal pulls her onto the bed, at 1h03'48" we see a bit of control top, at 1h03'52" it is a solid view of control top, as she – on the right – extends her leg and kicks him – he's on the left – showing off some of her arse…at 1h03'54" her panties are in view underneath her pantyhose, she swings out and off of the bed, straightens up. He rips the front of her dress. She takes a couple of swings that miss, he pulls her on back onto the bed, we see panties again. They pause. He takes off his shirt and tries to take off his pants, but true to the theme of the entire movie, his zipper gets stuck. She turns away from him, laughs, shows off a lot of thigh and some panty through control top again (1h04'53"), turns back towards him and shows off some more (1h05'04").
