No Way to Treat a Lady
Description
At 1’05”, Lee Remick going down the stairs, the rails provide some cover, but not enough for us not to notice the generous side slit in her dress as she hustles down the stairs. Most of her attire is dresses and skirts with quality suntan pantyhose, the attire the usual - especially in public - in this era. At 7’35”, Rod Steiger, who does a marvelous job of different impersonations in this film, lifts his victim onto a toilet seat, lots of thick thigh, looks like suntan pantyhose. At 39’01”, a young Doris Roberts in a purple dress, as she settles on the sofa, it lifts up, suntan pantyhose. At 46’14”, LR, having taken off her shoes, lifts herself up onto the davenport (as I think they were called back then, now called sofa), her black skirt lifting, tantalizingly so just before she’’s fully on her back, use single frame, and it stays a few to several inches above her knees as we get a close–up. At 1h10’20”, LR taking a ride with George Segal on a police boat, she’s wearing a yellow mini with suntan pantyhose…then, she sits, but her purse is between Segal and herself, and when she starts to move the purse, the strap of it catches on her dress and lifts it up a bit, again use single frame, giving is a nice view of her right thigh.
