Season 1

Both Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams wear a lot of quality pantyhose in this series. The first 2 seasons feature initially dowdy earth tone 1950s fashions (but still better than today’s bare) and episodes having no subtitles starting in season 3 we start seeing more color and the advent and use of pantyhose, and by season X the hemlines make their way up, with a sighting in virtually very episode.

Season 1, Episode 7

At 8'46”, Penny Marshall lifts up her pajamas to reveal the lower part of her suntan-pantyhosed thighs; mild view at 9’38”. At 12’11”, CW enters the apartment, black pantyhosed feet shots follow.

From 17'59”, PM and CW are dancing in what some may mistake to be pants due to the lighting, that is until close-ups at 19’15” and cartwheels at 19’38” when it’s obvious that these are shoeless black “pantyhose,” black panties underneath. Just after, at their apartment well-lit views 20’41”+ of PM, then at 22‘06“ when they both stand, then do handstand at 22’21".
